Yannis Psathas
Curriculum
He was born in Thessaloniki. His passion for photography begun as a student at the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 1998, he began his career officially as a photographer for a local cultural magazine.
In 2004, after completing his military service, he moved to Madrid, Spain honing his crafth and pursue a Masters degree in the field. During his studies, he was selected as an assistant by Nat Geo photographer Tino Soriano for a multi month National Geographic assignment.
From 2004 to 2007 served as the staff concert photographer for the Rolling Stone Magazine (Spain), the corporate publications of the Grupo Prisa [El Pais Group], and for various international record labels as a freelancer.
After returing to Greece, he founded Little Planet Image Services in 2008, a company focused on commercial and architectural photography, as well as multimedia applications.
Since 2012 he is one of the three official photographers of WOMEX (World Music Expo) international music festival.
Among other projects he also collaborates with renowned Greek American artist Philip Tsiaras, specialising in digital media productions.
Having lived in Greece, Cyprus, Spain and the US, he is fluent in Greek, English and Spanish.
